We ship all of our products with reputable couriers
We will generally use UPS or Parcelforce but the exact service we use may vary with what and where we are delivering and how quickly it's needed.

Most of our UK deliveries are shipped with UPS but we also use Parcelforce. You will get tracking information by email and for Parcelforce if you include a mobile number with you order you will receive delivery up dates and an expected delivery time window by text.

Next Working Day - UK Mainland (excluding N.Ireland, Highlands & Islands) £7.95
(Please note that through summer we are closed Tuesdays so any orders received after 1pm Monday will not ship until Wednesday for delivery on Thursday)
B.F.P.O. - £0.00 This service is only for use by people eligible for free British Forces Postal Services, we will require a valid BFPO number and address.
All of our deliveries are tracked and will require a signature when being delivered.
For smaller items up to 2 KG we occasionally use Royal Mail Recorded (express) or Special (next day) delivery.
For Next day delivery we will require your order before 2.30pm as we have a cut off time for collections. If you have selected the next working day service we will prioritise your order and we will do our absolute best to make sure that your order gets to you asap. Sadly we cannot Guarantee that items will be delivered next day though we try our best to do what we can to get them to you on time.
For Express delivery we will still try our best to get your items to you asap but we will have to prioritise people who have paid for the Next working day service, express delivery will usually be 1 - 3 working days.
We can ship with signed for, tracked services to most countries around the globe.

For some countries we have 2 delivery options, the standard option will cover all items except skis but please use the ski option for any ski or ski package.
Please note that for international non EU sales that require 2 parcel consignments, such as skis and ski boots, we may need to charge for each parcel in the consignment. For example a delivery to Australia of 1 box containing skis and bindings (£70 delivery charge) and 1 box containing ski boots (£35 delivery charge) we may have to charge £70 + £35 = £105 in total. Please email us if you would like more information.
We will sometimes send low value, small items and spare parts within Europe by Royal mail and this can take 1 - 2 weeks.
General information about all of our deliveries
Backcountry uk (Peak Ascent Ltd) is a VAT registered company (Our VAT number: 248 3631 94).
For customers ordering from within the EU all our items are priced including VAT (UK rate 20%).
For customers ordering from outside the EU our site will remove the VAT at the check out. You will not have to pay any UK VAT to us but you may have to pay VAT or another import tax when your order arrives in your country. This varies country to country so it's best to check with your customs authority to be sure.
If you buy in store we must charge UK VAT but if you live outside of the EU we can complete a form allowing you to reclaim your VAT when you leave the country.
Left with a Neighbour
Whilst our couriers will try their best to get your parcel to you they may leave your parcel with a neighbour or occasionally in a safe place. If you do not want your parcel being delivered to anyone but you please let us know when you order from us.
Missed your delivery
If you miss your delivery our couriers will try to make a redelivery at the next opportunity. If you miss three delivery attempts then your order may be returned to a depot for collection or returned to us. If your order is returned to us we may have to charge for resending your items out to you again.
If your delivery appears damaged please either refuse to sign for it or sign for it as "Damaged" you do not need to check the condition of the contents on the door step but failure to acknowledge any damage when you sign for a package may make it more difficult or impossible to claim for any damage to the contents later.
