Terms and Conditions
Stock - We are a real high street shop, so hold the vast majority of items in stock all of the time. We try our best to keep our stock levels, in store and online, accurate at all times. If a product is marked as out of stock on the website you will not be able to order it online.
If you want to reserve an item for delivery when we receive it, then phone us and we will gladly arrange this for you.
Payment - We accept most standard UK cards, Visa, Mastercard etc and international cards, Visa, Mastercard. We also accept Paypal through our website.
Security - Our website has a full SSL Secure certificate indicated by a green padlock in the address bar. When you place an order with us, all information is transmitted over a secure connection using 128 bit SSL encryption technology - the highest Internet security standard available (when you enter the checkout stage a padlock will appear at the bottom of your browser window, indicating you are on a secure page). All online card transactions are processed by Sage Pay and Paypal. Please note that your card details are never retained by us at any stage.
If for any reason you prefer not to use our online payment facility, then ring the shop during normal opening hours (9.00am - 5.30pm, Monday to Saturday inclusive, Closed Tuesdays) and we will deal with your order over the telephone.

This information is used to process your order. If necessary, we might use this information to contact you for help when we are processing an order. All information we collect from you is stored in a secure database that will be kept accurate and up to date. You can ask to see the information that we hold about you at any time and any inaccuracies you may find will be corrected promptly, or the information deleted at your request.
You will be asked if you want to go onto our e-mail information list and we will not contact you without this permission. You will also be given the opportunity to unsubscribe from such mailings at any time in the future. We will not pass on your details onto any third party.
Please note that if you use a link from our website to a third party, we have no control over their privacy policies.
Pricing - All prices shown on the website include UK sales tax (VAT) at 20%, except maps and books which are not subject to VAT. We try to make sure that the prices on our website are accurate but the site is run by human beings, us, and occasional errors can occur. If we discover a pricing error whilst processing your order we will notify you and give you the opportunity to cancel.
All offer prices will be for a limited period only and can be altered or withdrawn at our discretion.
Vat and Duty - All goods dispatched to customers within the EU will be charged Vat at standard UK rates, as included in all prices shown. Customers from outside the EU are entitled to purchase goods Vat free. Select your shipping country at the checkout stage and our prices will be adjusted accordingly - we cannot send out goods if your stated country is not the same as the one indicated on the shipping address. Please note that these goods may be subject to duties payable to your home country.
BFPO Sales - Most items, apart from skis, can be delivered via the BFPO system. BFPO addresses outside the EU are eligible for Vat free sales. Some BFPO addresses within the EU are eligible for Vat free sales - please ask your unit for advice. To receive VAT refund under B.F.P.O. status, please enclose a confirmation of VAT exemption with each order. Deliveries - All deliveries must be signed for. You need to ensure that you provide a delivery address where someone will be available. In the event that nobody is available to receive the goods when our carrier calls, they may leave a card and ask you to contact them, they reserve the right to leave the parcel with a neighbour unless you inform us that you do not want the parcel left with anyone else.
Some low cost items may go out in standard letter post, in which case we will get proof of posting from the post office. Please note that whilst current delivery services are very efficient and most goods do arrive on time, any one of our carriers can suffer delays in delivery and we cannot be held responsible for that. Returns Policy - We have the same policy whether you buy from us in the shop or by mail order, and you can return goods in either way.
Unwanted Goods - If for any reason you are unhappy with goods you may return them within 21 days of receipt for a refund on the cost of those goods. They must be returned unused, with the original packaging and labels intact and you are responsible for return costs.
Faulty Goods - This includes any items which have been sent out to you by mistake. Please contact the shop by telephone or e-mail and we will advise you. Please note that any used goods sent back with a fault must be received in a clean condition, otherwise we cannot handle them and return them to manufacturers. If cleaning of the product is required by ourselves, then you will be charged for this before we return the item to the manufacturer.
Complaints - If you have any reason to feel you have been treated unfairly or that the service we provided was unsatisfactory, then please contact us immediately so that we can try to help put things right. Please write to:
