With Pre-Order, you can purchase the latest items added to our store in advance of them arriving with us.
Your Pre-Order is prioritised (at no additional charge); meaning that as soon as the product arrives with us, we can wrap it straight back up; ready for collection via Click & Collect or despatch to you — it often never even hits the stock room shelves!
With Pre-Launch, the date when we expect to receive the product ourselves is still a little too hazy to be confident in accepting Pre-Orders.
So, instead, you can submit your email address against the item you are interested in and we will email you as soon as stock arrives on the system.
Estimated Delivery & Collection Dates are given on Pre-Order and Pre-Launch products. They are for indication purposes only and can change at any time without notice.
The dates we provide are based on indications given by our suppliers. Whenever we get updated information from our suppliers we will endeavour to update the Estimated Delivery & Collection Dates provided on product pages.
Hassle free returns
We know that you can't always get it right first time especially when buying footwear online so we have a relaxed return policy. We need to be able to sell any items returned as new so please make sure that any items returned are unused and clean with all the original packaging intact. We offer a 21 day returns period but don't worry if you run over this we just ask that any items coming back are sent back sooner rather than later as we need to get them listed for sale again. We do not pay any return postage costs so you will need to cover the cost of returns, the post office is usually the best service for sending small to medium parcels back but there are many parcel brokers that will work too.The Royal Mail Click & Drop service is a fast and good value way to return most items if you have access to a printer at home. Adjustable length 2 part ski touring pole.The Black Diamond Flick Lock Traverse is our most popular adjustable ski pole. Improved this season, BD have added an extra rubber grip below the handle, eliminating the need to add your own grip tape.
Flick Lock poles have externalclasps for adjustment instead of internal expansioncones. TheBlack diamond Flick Lock system isreliable and won't collapse/ self adjust, or freezelike standard, internaladjustable polesystems. Easy to adjust wearing gloves or mitts.
Two part adjustable poles of this type are better for skiing with than three part poles as they are less prone to damage and more rigid when pole planting.
Tip : Keep some duck tape (gaffa tape) handy on your poles, useful for quick repairs and binding your skins to your skis when they come unstuck. It is worth checking the adhesive side of the tape each season if you have not used it as it will become less sticky with age.
