Lightweight Freeride Touring Skis - Good Choice For A One Ski Backcountry Set Up With A Touring Focus.
Weight 2.6 KG per pair (171 cm)
129 / 94 / 109
Radius: 16m (171cm)
New touring version of Elan's hugely popular Ripstick freeride skis.
The Ripstick Tour 94 ski is built to blend high performance at a low weight, for the perfect mix of freeride downhill performance and efficient climbing ability. Conquering long ascents and charging challenging descents is the name of the game.
Ripstick skis feature Elan's Amphibio Technology - this is a clever use of different camber and rocker profiles on the inside and outside edge of the ski. The inside edge gets a longer camber profile for increased grip and precision, whilst the outside edge gets more rocker to give forgiveness and easier turn initiation. This means that there is a left and a right ski - so don't get them mixed up - you can really tell the difference when you do!
The 94mm waist makes this Ripstick Tour 94 more soft snow focused than the 88, but it is still super versatile and at just 2.6kg per pair in 171cm, they are competitive with other modern lightweight touring skis of similar dimensions.
Combined with a lightweight pin binding, the Elan Ripstick Tour 94 will suit people who want a versatile wider touring ski setup for both day touring and multi day trips, that can also be used occasionally in resort.
