Petzl Tibloc
Small emergency ascender for pulley systems, rope climbing, aiding a second.
The petzl tibloc is a very simple and effective rope clamp for emergency uses. Its advantages over the wildcountry ropeman are that of lighter weight and simple design (ie no cams to stick) - however, you do need to be careful when prussiking to make sure the device is weighted correctly (with the load pulling down in the same direction as the rope) or sheath wear can occur.
