Pre-Order

With Pre-Order, you can purchase the latest items added to our store in advance of them arriving with us.

Your Pre-Order is prioritised (at no additional charge); meaning that as soon as the product arrives with us, we can wrap it straight back up; ready for collection via Click & Collect or despatch to you — it often never even hits the stock room shelves!

Pre-Launch

With Pre-Launch, the date when we expect to receive the product ourselves is still a little too hazy to be confident in accepting Pre-Orders.

So, instead, you can submit your email address against the item you are interested in and we will email you as soon as stock arrives on the system.

Estimated Delivery & Collection Dates are given on Pre-Order and Pre-Launch products. They are for indication purposes only and can change at any time without notice.

The dates we provide are based on indications given by our suppliers. Whenever we get updated information from our suppliers we will endeavour to update the Estimated Delivery & Collection Dates provided on product pages.

Hassle free returns

We know that you can't always get it right first time especially when buying footwear online so we have a relaxed return policy.

We need to be able to sell any items returned as new so please make sure that any items returned are unused and clean with all the original packaging intact.

We offer a 21 day returns period but don't worry if you run over this a little, we just ask that any items coming back are sent back sooner rather than later as we need to get them listed for sale again.

We do not pay any return postage costs so you will need to cover the cost of returns, the post office is usually the best service for sending small to medium parcels back but there are many parcel brokers that will work too.

The Royal Mail Click & Drop service is a fast and good value way to return most items if you have access to a printer at home. This service is not operated by us.

Once we have the item back we will check it and exchange the size or process the refund as fast as we can.

If you think there is a manufacturing issue with a product bought from us then please email us with a description and photos of any issue and the proof of purchase. info@backcountryuk.com

For UK orders we will refund the original outward postage at our basic postage cost, or if we are exchanging the size we normally send out the replacement at no extra cost (highlands & Islands may be an exception to this)

Built for touring the entire mountain, the all-round Atomic Backland 95 is a ski that strikes the perfect balance of light weight uphill efficiency, and wide stability underfoot to confidently rip lines that catch your eye from the skin track. A reinterpretation of the original Backland, the new construction uses more low-carbon raw materials to significantly reduces CO2 equivalent emissions by 30% (compared with the Backland 85, 2021), utilizing more poplar wood, less fiberglass and resin, and waste-reducing sidewalls. All-Terrain Profile uses a natural-wood-to-fiberglass ratio to change the thickness curve of the ski and add torsional stiffness – for enhanced climbing and optimized downhill performance on harder snow surfaces. HRZN 3D features a uniquely beveled three-dimensional tip that further improves float in powder and handling in variable snow conditions. For the ultimate touring set up, choose an Atomic PreFit skin to match.

Ski profile for on or off piste. Early rise in the tip, or in tip and tail for total versatility.

Side Edge Angle: 87°

A side edge angle of 87° for more intuitive handling, easier skiing and better grip.

Base Edge Angle: 1.3°

This ski features a 1.3° base edge angle for easy turning, edge grip and tracking through the turn.

Sometimes less is more and this is definately the case with the all new Atomic Backland 95. This brand new construction has done away with the titanal from the ski and uses 30% less carbon which is a huge tick in the sustainabilty stakes.

But surely this has decreased the performance? Absolutely Not! This has increased the usabilty of the Backalnd 95 and with ash underfoot for binding retention and an all new shovel shape this makes for a ski that feels surfy and light off piste, a real smooth feel to every turn, yet engaging and grippy from the start of the turn on harder and more undulating terrain.
